Three days on the peninsula
How to spend a first visit without spending it in the car: one bay, one town, one long dinner per day.

On the water
Shared gulet, private charter or a short cove run — three formats, three different days.

A large part of the peninsula's best swimming has no road to it, which is why a boat day is worth building into even a short trip. The choice is less about the boat than the format.
The shared day trip is the standard: a wooden boat leaving the marina or a village harbour mid-morning, three or four anchorages, lunch cooked on board, and a return in the late afternoon. Price per person is modest, the boat is usually full, and the route is fixed. Ask the passenger count before booking — the difference between sixteen and sixty is the whole experience.
The private charter is the same coastline at a different pace: a skippered boat for the day, a route agreed that morning, and swimming stops for as long as you want them. Priced per boat, so it becomes reasonable for a group of six or eight.
The short cove run is the overlooked option: two or three hours from a village like Ildır, one or two swimming stops, no lunch, no soundtrack. Cheaper, easier with children, and often the quietest water of the three.
What to check before booking: how many guests, whether lunch and drinks are included, whether the boat sails or motors, and what happens if the wind cancels. Reputable operators cancel; that is a good sign, not a bad one.
What to bring: more water than you think, sun protection you can reapply, a light layer for the return leg, and cash for extras. Shade on deck is limited on most boats.
A timing note: the meltem builds through the afternoon. Morning departures are calmer, and the last hour of a full-day trip can be lively on a windy day.

Beaches
The peninsula has sand on one side and rock on the other. Which you want depends on the day you have in mind.
