We do not aim to list everything. We aim to make choosing easier.
What this is
Selected Türkiye is an independent editorial guide to places in Türkiye worth knowing: where to eat, where to stay, which beaches and bays reward the drive, and how to spend the days in between.
It is not a directory, a ranking or a review site. There are no stars, no user scores and no pay-to-appear listings.
Why it exists
Most travel information about Türkiye is either endless or sponsored. Both make choosing harder. We publish a short, considered list instead, and explain why each place is on it.
How destinations are curated
We open one destination at a time. Çeşme is the first. Each destination is researched on the ground: areas, seasons, how to arrive, how to move around, and what actually changes between June and September.
A destination goes live only when its editorial base — areas, categories, guides and practical information — is complete.
How places are selected
Places are visited before they are written about. We look at consistency, character, how a place treats people who are not regulars, and whether it is still worth the trip in a busy week.
Nothing is listed on the basis of a press release, a paid placement or an unverified claim. If we cannot confirm something, it is not published.
Why the selection is limited
A category holds at most 3 Selected places per destination. The limit is deliberate: a list that grows without end is a directory again, and a directory does not help anyone decide.
Editorial independence
Editorial selection cannot be bought. A business can apply to be considered, and businesses may hold Selected Partner status, but that status follows the editorial decision — it never causes it.
Selected Partner means an approved business manages its own profile information with us. It does not mean it purchased a place on the list, and it does not change how it is written about.
