Quiet Aegean bay with turquoise shallows, pale sand and dark volcanic rock

Beach

The peninsula gives you two kinds of beach day. The south and west have sand and shallow turquoise water — Altınkum and the coves around it. The north and the bays near town are rock and platform, deeper and clearer, and that is where the clubs are. Wind decides a lot: if the meltem is up, move to the sheltered southern side. Public stretches exist beside every club; you are not obliged to pay for a lounger.
