Three days on the peninsula
How to spend a first visit without spending it in the car: one bay, one town, one long dinner per day.

Çeşme
Vineyards, low hills and a handful of quiet coves reached by a short drive.
Über das Gebiet
Ovacık is inland farmland and vineyard country between Alaçatı and the southern coast, and it is the part of the peninsula that still reads as agricultural. Roads run between stone walls and gum-mastic scrub to small coves that never feel crowded.
There is little infrastructure here, which is the appeal: a few wineries and rural tables, quiet accommodation, and easy access to both Alaçatı's dinners and the coast. A car is essential.
It suits travellers who want space and landscape, with the peninsula's busier parts fifteen minutes away when they want them.

Çeşme · Beaches
The peninsula has sand on one side and rock on the other. Which you want depends on the day you have in mind.

Çeşme · Eating
The village has more restaurants per street than anywhere on the peninsula. A little structure helps.
