Three days on the peninsula
How to spend a first visit without spending it in the car: one bay, one town, one long dinner per day.

Çeşme
Shallow bays and steady afternoon wind — the peninsula's water-sports side.
Über das Gebiet
Çiftlikköy spreads along a series of shallow bays west of Çeşme town, where the water stays waist-deep a long way out and the afternoon meltem is dependable. That is exactly what windsurfing and kitesurfing schools need, and the shoreline has been shaped around them.
Outside the schools it is a low-key stretch of small hotels, summer houses and simple beachfront kitchens. Mornings are calm and good for swimming; the wind builds after lunch.
It suits active travellers, beginners taking lessons, and families who want shallow water without crowds.

Çeşme · Beaches
The peninsula has sand on one side and rock on the other. Which you want depends on the day you have in mind.

Çeşme · Eating
The village has more restaurants per street than anywhere on the peninsula. A little structure helps.
